Two finished e-scapes lanterns, one stained black with a Himeji Castle panel and one in natural wood with a snake panel

Frame

Eight horizontal beams and four vertical rails, notched into two squares. Magnets seat the roof. No screws.

Roof

Base, two gables, gable accents, twelve shingles, and two torii. The roof lifts off.

Light

Four panels of your choosing, rice paper, an LED lamp, and the plates that hold it.

Seventeen panels

Twelve animals. Four places. One blank.

Any four, including repeats. The Chinese zodiac, plus a schooner, Himeji Castle, cherry blossom, and a lighthouse. Or leave a face plain with the blank panel. Extra panels are $5 each.
